The issues at hand in Aged Care will not be solved by government alone. We firmly believe volunteering programs are an untapped, yet highly valuable resource in achieving some relief in the tensions around Aged Care.

Expression of interest
Founded on a person-centered modality of expert instruction, ACVA offers trained volunteers to select Aged Care Facilities volunteers.

Our program engages residents with one-on-one companionship as well as group-based programs and activities offering valuable psychosocial support. Quite simply it is a friendship model.

ACVA acts as a silent partner in assisting to create a healthy living environment for residents. We aim to add value and support your existing Leisure & Lifestyle departments.

What our volunteers don't do:
• No driving
• No medical interference incl. nursing duties
• No personal/financial advice
• No exercise routines
• No bringing meals / groceries
• No running of errands
• No physical lifting
• Never go outside the Aged Care Facility guidelines
